Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, was the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021 to 2022. As a member of the Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy director of communications director(2009-2011) as well as spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015 and White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki was an CNN political commentator from 2017 until 2020. Psaki started her career in the 2001 re-election campaigns Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack, both Democrats running for U.S. Senate. Psaki then became the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was also the director of communications for Joseph Crowley (U.S.) as well as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 for political communication, serving as the press secretary of President Obama's 2012 campaign for reelection. 20 years ago, Psaki was named spokesperson for the United States Department of State in February 2013. The appointment in the Department of State fueled speculation that she would replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney when he left the White House,[21] but, on May 30th in 2014, it was announced that Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She returned to the White House in 2015 as the communications director, and she remained until the closing of the Obama presidency.
